                     Biography


Born in Normandy (France), he had his first true musical experience with 
Laure Fayard Gresland, disciple of Yves Nat.

In 1962, he was received at the Academy of Music in Vienna, Austria, in the class of Dr. Joseph Dichler. At the same time,  he followed courses by Paul Badura Skoda, Jörg Demus and Alfred Brendel.

He received in 1964 the price of the 'Fondation de la Vocation' (Fondation Bleustein Blanchet), Paris.

His further musical studies lead  him to Stephan Askenase in Belgium and to Julius Katchen in France.

In 1966, he received a full scholarship for the United States of America.
He was admitted to the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore in the class of Leon Fleisher.

Since 1968, he has been performing in the United States, in France, Germany, Belgium, England, Holland, Italy, Switzerland...

His repertoire ranges from Domenico Scarlatti to Bartók

Parallel to modern piano, he developed his musical approach by giving concerts on historical instruments, that correspond to the period of the chosen repertoire,
as a soloist or in chamber music:

He has recorded for the label ALPHA (Belgium) a recital of:
Scriabin, Chopin, Schubert.
